DISCBUSTER

Match. Unpin. Drop.

A bubble shooter where the discs are real. Match three and they don't pop, they come loose and tumble off the board. And when one disc stands between you and the level, you aim a missile at it.

Discbuster on iPhone: a pile of enamel discs with brass rims tumbling off the board after a match

Shots are cheap. Missiles are earned.

Every level is a puzzle with a shot budget.

Drag to aim, let go to shoot. Clear the board before the shots run out. Some discs hide a card inside; free one and it's yours to play, and playing it never costs a shot.

A hanging chandelier of discs, a few marked by a glinting brass seam
01

Spot the seam

Three or four discs on every board have a brass seam that glints. There's a card sealed inside each one.

Targeting mode: the board dims and a banner says Missile, tap a disc
02

Tap the card, tap the disc

The board dims, you pick your target, and a brass rocket arcs up from the launcher and takes it out.

Watch it all come down

Whatever the shot orphans falls too. Big drops tilt the camera. Shots you don't use are worth points.

Six colours. Six materials.

Not a sprite with a shadow. A thing you could pick up.

Every disc is a 3D object with a domed face, a brass rim and a rounded lip, lit by a studio you can see reflected in it. Each colour is a different finish, so you tell them apart by feel, not just hue.

CANDY

Deep red enamel under a hard, wet clearcoat.

FLAKE

Navy metal flake that sparkles as the light moves.

ANODIZED

Circular-brushed green. The highlight streaks.

GOLD

Full metal. Catches everything.

PEARL

Violet with a soft, blooming highlight.

GLOSS

Orange enamel with a tight mirror highlight.

The hand

Ten cards. None of them cost a shot.

You hold six. Missiles are the rarest and the most decisive. The rest bend the next shot or reset the board.

Missile

Tap any disc. It's gone.

Cluster

The disc and its six neighbours.

Warhead

Two rings. Rare for a reason.

Prism

The next shot matches any colour.

Chaos

The next shot blows up random discs.

Lead

Never pins. Plows a trench.

Phase

Passes through discs to the back.

Shuffle

Redeals every colour on the board.

Ten chapters

Every chapter brings something that fights back.

  • Stone and keystonesIron never matches and falls only when cut loose. A keystone shrugs off every card you own.
  • Frost and blightGlass caps crack beside a match. Blight rots a neighbour every shot until you burn the patch out.
  • Cogs, mirrors and portalsGenerators grow the board back, mirrors turn your shot aside, portals drop it out somewhere else, and clockwork rings move between every shot.
